My new apartment: Renovation (Part 1)

My new apartment: Renovation (Part 1)

I recently got my keys, around July. I know the excitement every Singaporean feels getting their first house, and also having their CPF wiped out.

The house isn't cheap; my wife and I paid around 570K SGD for it.

No tiles

Our apartment with no tiles

Currently, we've only done the floors. We picked the tiles from Soon Bee Huat, Woodville, Miel colour, and found a contractor to lay them. We didn't look for an ID because we wanted to save some money, as my wife and I are expecting a son soon.

Yea! our materials arrived!

Laying the tiles cost about 10,500 SGD altogether, and this week the contractor told me it was completed. I went to take a look today and found some cracks on the skirting, so they're going to fix it.

Floor done

The floor is done! Ta-da!

The contractor needs to fix a few things.

Today, I also bought a ceiling fan, air conditioner, and a digital lock for my front door. I'll do an update once they are installed and delivered.

To be continue....
